On November 1, 2024, Broekman Logistics officially acquired the operations and assets of B.V. Expeditie- en Stuwadoors Maatschappij J.C. Meijers, marking a significant step in the company’s breakbulk activities within the Port of Rotterdam (Waalhaven). This acquisition advances Broekman’s role in the “Breakbulk Carousel,” an initiative launched in 2018 by various stakeholders, including the Port of Rotterdam Authority, aimed at bolstering the port’s breakbulk capabilities.
